2017 Speed Scrap - Post Marathon Makeover Game
 

Now that all the Speed Scraps have been posted, are you ready for another game? :) This will be a mini makeover!

Speed Scraps are a ton of fun, but sometimes you just run out of time to get your layout just right. Maybe you didn't get a chance to edit your picture. Maybe the SS instruction said no journaling, but you ALWAYS journal. Maybe you had to use a staple, but you didn't really know where to use it, so you aren't happy where it is.

I don't want you to change your layout so much that it looks completely different. But if there's something you wanted to change, now's your chance!

Post your original layout AND your new layout in this thread by Saturday, August 5, noon ET. Yes I'm giving you almost a week, since I know after the excitement of the weekend, you might want to take a break from the computer. ;)

Here's the LO I chose. The instructions asked for a card, and while I love it, I just didn't think they fit the look I wanted on the LO.

And my makeover. I removed the card, added 2 paper strips, and duplicated the star glitter from the bottom corner to the top.

OOh! I know exactly which LO I need to make a little adjustment on....

while I loved all the instructions from Kelly on this one; I really didn't choose the right photos for a WHITE background paper.

LOL this year i decided i'd just make 7 pages i loved, instead of a ton of pages i had to re-do or spend a week or more fixing, and the 10pages i did do took me longer than normal and i left out the photoless challenge and specific ones i thought didn't suit my style but that means i'm lso happy not to do this challenge but i think it's a great idea!

I didn't have the right photos to have the big photo, but it was the one I had a QR code for. So, here's the speed scrap version:

While I really liked my original layout, I wanted to have more than just one photo on this page. I also wanted to add Jessie's signature from my son's autograph book, but I just didn't have the time to find it during the SS. Lastly, I added one extra flower to one of the clusters I felt needed something more.

This was for a challenge where you couldn't use any photos and I decided this cover needed a photo. You also needed two tape strips and I didn't end up liking both. Lastly, the pixie dust I used was yellow and I think the white ends up working better.

I agree with BlueEyed Mama! I chose the absolute wrong pics for the white background to be tossed in there!
