Weekly Challenge #191 (6/26 to 07/09)
http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...9&postcount=63Hi, folks! Yes.. this is a TWO week challenge because of the holiday!!
For the rules... 1. All layouts MUST be Disney related 2. Layouts should be uploaded to the MouseScrappers Gallery, the appropriate forum for your layout, and a link posted in this thread! 3. Use of quick pages is NOT allowed! You have to work for that PP! Here are the rules of the challenge: We're going to try something a little different. I will be giving you a color palette and your mission is to use at least THREE colors from that palette in your layout. This doesn't mean photos.. it means the colors of your papers and elements. Please remember to give proper credits to all designer whose product you may use, and you may mix and match so long as you use three colors. (You may use all of the colors, the minimum is three.) You may use other colors, but again.. you must THREE of the palette colors. That said.. here is your color palette to work with for this challenge! Isn't Maleficent just beautiful? As your layouts will be with her colors! Upon completion of your layout, you will receive this lovely mini kit (Pixie Dust)from Connie Prince. Remember.. we have two weeks this time around! I am really looking forward to seeing your layouts. Again, I do post them on Pinterest.. if anyone objects to this, please include this right along with your post. I'll be back later on to post my layout!! Post any questions you may have in the thread! ADDITION TO THIS CHALLENGE: SEE POST 63 FOR PART TWO! Last edited by ScrappyCoyote; 07-01-2013 at 09:47 AM. |

Nice! I can't wait to have a few minutes to play! I love the color palette but how do I get those exact colors in my LO? I'm still fairly new at this.

Question
I am also very new to digital scrapping. I would love to earn the pixie dust kit so the two weeks should give me plenty of time to figure out how to post to a gallery! I know you said quick pages are not allowed. Is the use of templates allowed? Thanks for clarifying!

Well, I am new but as Connie is a neighbor and a friend and I LOVE Disney and Tinkerbell...I HAVE to have another CP/Disney themed kit, so I am on the job today. And I have the perfect Disney themed kit I can use!

Thanks for hosting and thanks Connie for the PP. Love me some Connie Prince. I was also able to combine two of my favorites - Connie Prince and Kellybell in this layout.

Most designers use color palettes when designing their kits. So if you find papers that match the color palette... the elements should fall right into line. I hope this makes sense!! Just get close as you can to the colors of the palette!! And you will be golden! |

Welcome aboard, Tattered Princess!! By the way.. the kit you use.. does not have to be Disney themed!! One of the things Connie admires about me is my ability to take just about any kit and scrap a Disney layout! So Disney themed or not... have fun!! |
