What digital scrapbook software do you use?

I am looking for an easy to use software. I have never tried digital scrapbooking so I want to give it a whirl. Does anyone know if you can use any digi kit with memory mixer? Would you recommend memory mixer?

Hi Robin!

I have never used Memory Mixer but I am sure there has to be at least one scrapper on here that uses that software. I use Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 from Creative Memories and it is current on sale for 40% off. It is less than $40.00 for the rest of this week. Most of the scrappers use Photoshop Elements - it seems to be the most popular. There is also a software called DSA2 - and the users also produce beautiful pages. Which ever software you choose - you are sure to find support here on Mousescrappers!! Welcome to Mousescrappers and digital scrapbooking!!

I tried Memory Mixer before switching to my current addiction (Storybook Creator Plus--the same one Disney Baby spoke of) and while it was pretty user friendly I found that it did not offer near as many capabilities as I have with SBC+. I love SBC+ because of the flexibility it offers, how user friendly it is, and the fact that you are not limited to content only by Creative Memories.

But as Jennifer said, whatever you choose you are bound to be able to find help here at Mousescrappers! Good luck with your search and welcome!

I use Gimp

I really like GIMP. Once you get used to it, it's pretty simple. I used Paint Shop Pro before and they are pretty similar.

I use PS7 since january, at first I found it difficult to learn but then I found some tutorials at youtube and that was it, I started to learn very quickly, then last june I upgraded to CS5 and it was pretty similar except for the new features, but reading here some tutorials Im learning to use the new stuff and its amazing, Ive learned so far how to do text paths an the use of 3D functions.
Whatever software you choose you can read here tutorials for other softwares and then use them with the one you finally choose, the idea is pretty similar in most of them.
Be sure that here at MS youll find help for any doubt you have!

I use DSA 2. its simple to use and very good, have a look at daisytrail - its the community website for DSA 2 users. you can download a compact version for free which gives you a rough idea of how the software works, however a lot of the features are not available. but at least it will show you the software. also there a quite a few tutorials on daisytrail.
