Scraplift Challenge #28: 8/8 - 8/21
Hi everyone! l am really excited about this scraplift challenge because I decided to do something a little different. I get layout inspiration from so many places, including ads. So I thought it would be fun to do an ad inspired scraplift, and I found this ad for Walt Disney World from 1971, before it even opened!
I was inspired by the rectangles throughout, but the inspiration could be anything. Here's my layout: Rules: 1) Your LO must be Disney related (or nearby theme park) 2) Upload your LO to the new Scraplift Challenge Gallery and post it in this thread. 3) Post your LO in the appropriate thread in the forums and put that link in your post here 4) Tell us what inspiration you took from the ad for your own layout 4) Leave love for your fellow participants because we all love comments on our LOs For the participation prize, I am giving you the kit I designed to make this layout. I wanted something to scrap pics taken in Liberty Square and the American Adventure, but geared more toward American history rather than Independence Day, so I created this kit. It was supposed to be a mini-kit, but I kind of got carried away, so I'm calling it a super-mini. I am also offering you the colonial Mickey as a freebie to go with the kit. You can find it on my blog. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Love this Lift and PP! My MIL just gave me some pics of DH as a kid when WDW first opened. Now if I need to get the pics scanned. You have me motivated.

Very cool challenge. I looked at the ad and was inspired by the blocked layout and the information presented for each area. I used pix I took of the different signs along the trail that give you lots of information. I kept the use of rectangles like you used in your layout. I'll probably tweak this page when I get back from my trip, but wanted to get something posted because I LOVE your super mini-kit!!
