Finished!
Yea! I did complete all of them even with loosing my EHD with all my organized scrap supplies 3 days before. Thank goodness I back up all purchases in two different places but it was a pain not knowing where everything was and having to unzip all the kits I was using.
A big thank you to everyone who made me feel welcome. Being new is never easy and I did enjoy chatting (mostly reading) with all of you. I will for sure be spending more time here and I can't wait to peruse the gallery to look at everyone's creations. Over all, I LOVE the layouts I created. I will only change one before printing. Yippee!!! Thank you to everyone who made this weekend happen! |

WOW! Thank you to all the designers and hostesses and EVERYONE who posted their fabulous layouts! I was truly inspired throughout the weekend and I am still loving going through the gallery.
I am new here but can already tell that I may become a fixture. I never participated in a speed scrap before and I have to say it was quite an adventure. I am so happy to say that I completed the challenges and that means I have 24 layouts for my 2010 Disney trip so far! Oh my gosh! From none to 24 in 3 days... THANK YOU for the push! Now to keep it going...

I set out with the goal to complete the half marathon. Last night/early this morning, I completed 15 (of the 16), which was the last page for my album. I had to finish that last ss! I am SO proud of myself for working hard and finishing the trip album.
I really appreciate this amazing marathon! The challenges to try new things and move out of my comfort zone, all the amazing prizes along the way, the encouragement and "love" from people who are just as addicted to Disney and scrapbooking as I am.... Now, to restore the chaos created in the house while Mommy sat on the couch all weekend

I just uploaded the last one this morning! I am so surprised that I did them all since this was my first SS Marathon.
I ended up missing out on 2 PP since I got to go out with my hubby Sat night for a Crab Feed, but otherwise am pretty pleased that I got them all, I only thought that I would be able to do the half marathon. I like most of my pages, but there are a couple that I will work on a little more after I have rested! |

I'm so excited I got them all done! I missed out on 4 or 5 participation prizes because of working on Friday and going to church on Sunday, but met the deadline for the whole thing, so I'm very happy!
Thank you, designers and everyone else who helped put this awesome marathon together! I stretched my style a bit, learned a couple of new things, and got 16 pages done. HUGE accomplishment! Thanks again!

I finished, with 45 minutes to spare, lol. Granted I did miss a few PP's, but I got it all in for the goodie bag. Off to take a nap here soon! I'm tired!

If the marathon had been NEXT weekend I would have been able to scarp more. But this weekend just seemed to be packed with all sorts of activities - cub scout Pinewood Derby meeting (which we skipped to spend time with DS's sick friend), private school testing for DD, a couple of birthday parties, another cub scout meeting, acapela group concert, bone marrow drive, religious school, oh and a few meals too.
All in all I'm pleased with the 11 layouts I completed. I didn't think I'd even get 5 done. I think I'm finally out of my scrapping slump! I completed more layouts this weekend than I did in the previous 3 months combined. Thanks to everyone who made this such a great weekend. Now I'm off to leave lots of love in the gallery.
