Persnickety Prints?

Has anyone used Persnickety Prints? Would you recommend them? I am looking for a new place to have my layouts printed since Scrapbookpictures.com has closed. I am looking for someone that prints 8.5x11. Seems like all the places I have checked out only print 8x10. I do all my layouts in 8.5x11 format but my photo books in various sizes.

I have used Persnickity Prints (not for scrapbook pages yet) but I had my sons graduation announcements printed there (I designed them for his college graduation) and I have had pictures printed from there. They all turned out great.

When I actually print my pages (which have only been 8x8 or 8.5x11) for a book for my dad, I used our local Kinkos. I was able to print a 50 page book of 8x8 pages (which they printed on 8.5x11 and I had to trim) but the pages were about .30 cents a page - I picked their executive linen paper and they are gorgeous. I did it this way because I had a 8x8 album with sheet protectors already. Granted I had to do some reprints due to errors on my part but it was great. I chose to go in person with my memory stick and explain it in great detail what I wanted and then waited to do it. It was worth the hour wait.

My son did his Psychology project - an all about me project - he did it all digitally and printed at kinknos on 8.5x11 regular paper and it also turned out great.

So you might try your local copy shop and see if they do it....like Kinkos, Office Max/Staples, etc.

I have used Persnickety Prints several times now and have always been very pleased with the results. I also printed with scrapbookpictures.com and I found the print quality to be very comparable. In fact, the first time I tried PP I purposely ordered the same page from both them and scrapbookpictures so I could compare them side by side and there was no discernible difference between the two.

I love that they have a flat shipping rate no matter how much you order and a couple of times of year they run a 25% special which brings the 12x12 pages down to about $1.50 each.

Hope this helps and happy printing!

Funny you should ask--I just got my Persnickity Print order on Monday. I use them for 8x8, although I did print a 12x12 double layout this time as well.

We have a small Kinkos, don't know if they do photos or not--I should check that out.

I've been amazed by the quality of persnickity prints. I pre-bought a bunch of prints at their last sale too. Love their stuff!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will place an order with persnickity prints.

I checked for Kinko. Kinko is now with FedEx. I will give them a try as soon as I have time to go as they are not close. I did check out Office Depot as they are close. The layout was dark and had a white border around 3 sides. The lady told me that the border is becaue the printer does not print all the way to the edge of the paper. Sigh. I want a true 8.5x11 print of my layout.

I'll be interested to see how you make out with Kinko's/Fedex.

Has anyone tried Sam's Club?

Love, love, love Persnickety Prints! Besides the great quality, they are very fast - even during their sales.
