Weekly Challenge #372 - March 8 - March 14
Hello! No one was signed up for this week so I thought I'd jump in...
This is a different kind of challenge. There is no prize, but I think doing it will be very worthwhile. This week while we have a break from challenges, please take some time to back something up. It could be your scrap pages, it could be some pictures that have been in a weird folder on your desktop, or are still on sitting in your camera, back up the pictures on your phone, back up all of those great elements and papers you've purchased...... Just take a little bit and get one of those little things that tend to get lost in the shuffle backed up so you don't have to worry about them if something crazy happens to your computer or your hard drive. Report back here if you participated and what you got backed up! |

What a great "challenge" Andrea!!! I need to do this! It's always one of those things you mean to do, but life gets in the way! I'll try to get to it this weekend!
I did go through and delete some older kits/freebies that I just didn't want anymore! That felt good to clean up some files!

I just made sure I backed up all my photos so far this year (on my hard drive and made sure it was on crash plan).

last month I finished an album, so I got all of those completed pages backed up to the cloud. Also got all of my last trip pics in order and backed up as well!

I have been trying to do this regularly because as I am going back in time to scrap, I am finding that in my early days of digital camera, my pictures are EVERYWHERE. It is so hard to go back and organize!!

This is a GREAT idea. I have been trying to spend some time organizing my flash drive but it is slow going.

I finally downloaded and sorted all of my pictures from the last six months! Over 20 zip files sorted into 7 folders (and discovered I have to e-mail them for some missing magic, oops). I also cleared off two memory cards. I've had photos from the Halloween parade, Christmas parade, and HP Celebration just sitting on the memory card and on my EHD - now I can finally take pictures again. I also finally shared all of my photos from the Princess Marathon weekend with my sister and her friend, so we finally have all the photos from the weekend (now to get my sister to share her New Year's photos...).

Super great idea for this challenge!
I'm a stickler for backing up because I've lost files sooooo many times. How do you guys back up and how much it too much? I keep ALL of my files (pages and kits) on an external drive. I only keep a copy of final page jpegs and a duplicate of pictures still to scrap on the desktop harddrive. I've been thinking of getting a second external drive. You can never have too much, but I was curious how you all saved your data. |
