Hybrid Challenge #2 (9/27-10/18)
Hi everyone!
STOP! Please make sure you read all of this information before you begin!! Well Carol gave me the go ahead to host another hybrid challenge, BUT this one is much simpler and much more flexible..I promise! Ultimately these are more like guidelines than actual rules...(anyone catch that Pirates line I squeezed in there? lol). So feel free to do this however you wish and in whatever way is easiest for you. There's no "wrong" way in Hybrid wonderland!! ***THANKS TO WdwScrapPrincess for mentioning this idea in the forum.*** You will have a month to create these since I made the last challenge a little too short for the project. Okay here are the guidelines... 1. Using your scrapbooking program (or dive into that old stash of traditional scrapbooking paper & embellies!!) and create a luggage tag. 2. If you do it the digi-way you can print these at home on regular paper, cardstock, or even photo paper..the choice is yours. 3. Think about what types of information you'd like to put on the luggage tag (like name, address, cell phone number, ect.) 4. PLEASE don't post a digital version of your luggage tag (or tags) in the gallery. Since you can create these at home in no time at all, take a photo of them using a camera for the gallery. 5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALSO...cover the information using your photo program that you would not want others to see. (Or you can even just save 2 copies, one with the information and one without. Then show us the one without to protect your privacy.) 6. Finally print and cut out. Embellish further if you'd like to. (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THESE TEMPLATES but I have created some you can download here if you wish: http://www.4shared.com/file/w2GHaOr6...dChalleng.html) **9/28 UPDATE:: UGH! My computer is out of ink but I will go grab some tonight while I'm out on date night! Here's a digital example to give you a quick glance to help give you some inspiration. You still MUST post your finished product in this forum and not the digital version like this one.** Credits to: "Sailor Boy" by Brittish Designs, & DisneyClips.com for clipart ALSO! Some of you had PM'ed me or sent me an email from my blog asking me about different things you can put on the tag and I have some great ideas for you... In addition to putting your name, address, phone info you can also include these types of information: 1. The name of your resort (for all you WDW-ies!). 2. Title of your trip (ex. "The 3rd Annual Austin Reunion" or "5th annual Christmas trip"). 3. Date (if you plan to create new ones for each trip, these would make cute keepsakes too!). Enjoy and as always, please ask as many questions as you need! Last edited by kaylalovesminnie; 09-28-2010 at 12:01 PM. |

I saw the example, so cute Kayla , and now I have a silly question : after I print my tag what do I do, laminate it??? How do I make it to be hard so it doesn´t bend??? Forgive me but I´m not a crafty person

I hope it's okay if I post some luggage tags I made last year in case anyone wants ideas. I put them in those vinyl id holders (like what ppl put their work id or keys to the world card in ) I used a ribbon to tie it closed, which also tied the tag to the luggage. We've also used them for a couple of other trips and they've held up great. I printed the backgrounds on cardstock so that helps, but in that cheap vinyl holder they've been fine.
The black "paper" with vacation vacation vacation was digital and then printed, as was the white with disneyworld. They I embellished with ribbon and punches etc. I hope it's ok I posted for ideas. More luggage tags are on my to do list for our trip next year so I will make more this month and do this challenge! ETA: Is anyone else having trouble uploading to the hybrid gallery? I have no problem with the member gallery but it won't let me post in hybrid for some reason. If anyone else has this problem I will let Carol know. Last edited by tukogirl; 09-28-2010 at 04:43 PM. |

Or this>>.
[IMG][/IMG] Or buy Laminating self stick paper or pass it thru a Laminating machine. but the sample above give more flexibility. |
