Recommendations for New Camera
I love my Kodak P880. However, I have had it for 8 years. With all the technology improvements, I think it might be time to retire this camera.
I would love some recommendations. I have listed below what I like about my current camera and my wish list for my new camera. Below are items that I love on my current camera:

Thank you in advance for the recommendations! Heather ![]() |

I love Nikon's, It is the brand that the Disney Photographers use
that gives me a clue of the power of what can do. The best part is when I have a question of a setting they know how to use it and help me! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm a Canon girl here! I have a point and shoot and a DSLR. My daughter has a Nikon and I have a hard time with the settings on it! But that's a personal thing!
My best advice...go to the stores and play with all the different cameras....taking notes as to what you like and didn't like with each one. That is the best way to find the camera that is a great fit with you! Once you've found the one that is the easiest for you to work and fits your wants/needs...than start shopping around for the best price! That's what we have done in the past. We actually need to be in the market for a new DSLR (we bought ours refurbished and are starting to have issues with it). The issue, we just bought a few new lenses for it in the past 2 years. So, we are going to make sure that the new camera accepts and fits those lenses so we don't have to repurchase those items! Good luck! Make sure you post back here letting us know what one you ended up purchasing!

I have been a Canon girl for years! So when I started looking at new cameras I skipped the Nikon reviews and recommendations. When I couldn't find anything I liked with decent reviews I went to the Nikon site. I was surprised to find the L830. I LOVE this camera. It has the scenes you mentioned: snow, fireworks, beach, museum, food, dusk, portait, etc. Plus 34x zoom (which is what convinced me to get this), it's point and shoot, easy to carry and store. It does not have any detachable lens or extra lens to purchase.
I have had this camera for about a month now and I can say it has been the best purchase! I joke with my friends about going to the "dark side" since I never thought I would get a Nikon. With warranty I spend $325 on this camera. So happy I did. Good luck |
