Scraplift Challenge #84 (Oct. 15 - Oct 28)
I know I am a day early, but tomorrow is going to be a BUSY day for me, so I figured I might as well as this PARTY started!! When I signed up to do this challenge about a couple of months ago, I had hoped to be able to do my own PP, but then life decided to intervene! Funny, how that happens, eh?? My father in law was taken ill and it took several weeks and a few hospital stays to finally get a diagnosis: West Nile Encephalopathy. He is unable to work, so he is quite stressed out (he is a farmer and it is harvest season). It is going to be a long recovery. As if that were not enough, my husband was offered a job out of the blue. This is a good thing, right? Yes, but he has been my office administrator for the last 10 years in my practice. (in case you hadn't figured it out, I am a dentist ) He has a masters in Computer Science, but we live in a SMALL rural community and there are not many places around here that have a need for a IT (information technology) guy.) LOL Sooooo, we have had to find someone to take over his job at my office. Luckily, he is still going to be able to do some of the administrative stuff and the new guy will be my office manager. To really make it confusing to my patients, my husband's name is Andrew. We call him Drew. We practice in his hometown, and almost everyone who knew him growing up call him Andy. The new guy? His name is Andy. Have had a few people who have asked if we can given him a nick-name. Whew.
I did have some time this weekend to do a new LO and I decided to use it as my inspiration to you for this scraplift challenge! I rarely use any photo masks or shapes for my pix, so I thought it would be fun to try one. I rather like the effect of Bruce "popping" thru the page! For better or for worse, here it is: [IMG][/IMG] also posted here: http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...?t=3416&page=4 Lisa (ljritchie) from Chubby Chihuahua Designs has graciously donated the PP for this challenge. I am excited! I LOVE CCD. How could you not with a name like that??!! LOVE it! Here it is: [IMG][/IMG] Haven't seen the movie yet, but I hear good things about it!! Be sure to Thank Lisa for this FABULOUS PP!!! Rules for the Scraplift Challenge: 1) Your LO must be Disney related (or nearby theme park) 2) Upload your LO to the new Scraplift Challenge Gallery and post it in this thread. 3) Post your LO in the appropriate thread in the forums and put that link in your post here 4) Leave love for your fellow participants because we all love comments on our LOs 5) Be sure to thank Lisa and Chubby Chihuahua Designs for her PP. The definition of a scraplift is to use a layout as inspiration for your own LO. Am excited to see what you all come up with!! Have fun!! Smiles! Stacy

I knew SBC could do this, but I'd never done it before. I cut the shape, then did a 3D edge. I kind of like the 3D look.

I was insipered by your page (the three photos - the background is a photo, right? - The framing of the rectangular pic, using more than just one alpha for the title...) BUT more so, I was inspired by how you pushed out of your comfort zone and did something different. I never use this many patterned, bright papers - especially not as a main background but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out so thanks for inspiring me to push my boundaries
Thanks for the super fun challenge and thanks so much to Lisa for the AWESOME pp! (Can you tell I was a little inspired by the pp also I need to put those stickers on my page!!) Also posted in the souvenirs thread.
