Do you delete files after you unzip them?

I am wondering if I should delete the zipped files after I have unzipped them, so I don't have so many files to look at. I am new and trying to figure out a way to organize them. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

If it's a freebie, I delete the zip. If it's something I've purchased, I save the zip on one of my external HDs. I'm pretty paranoid, lol.

I save all the zipped files on an external hard drive. Once I do that, I delete them from my PC. Since I save the zip, I don't also save the unzipped files externally.

Call me over zealous. I not only save the zips to an EHD, I also burn them to DVD when I have enough to fill one. I'll also delete any extras in the unzipped files--all the added stuff and such, extra previews, extra large previews. I figure I only need one link to a website, one TOU, ect. And I combine all the zips for one kit into one folder so I don't have as much to look at either, but usually keep alphas in their folders. It's taken awhile to get what works for me.

I save all the zipped files to a portable EHD and they are backed up on an EHD that I do not carry around. I am also paranoid that I will lose everything! At least the zipped file takes up less room!

After I unzip the files and look through them, I delete the zip files. I just don't have enough room to keep all the zip files hanging around taking up space. The backup covers all my scrap files and layouts, so I don't feel like I need the zips anymore.

I save the Unzip file in an External hardrive

HOWEVER

those can fall and after a while can loose data SO, I back up all the Unzip Files on DVDs with

very pretty labels specially the ones i have bought. Backing them up on

DVDs is a very important step.
