I see the messages about the converting. I have a group where we discuss problematic areas and how to best do them when we convert. And I have made some videos teaching how to do some of them. I'm happy to add anyone who wants to the group, and share the videos.

Interesting - I convert shapes completely differently. In essence, I got to insert>Shape>Custom shape (either straight or curved lines depending on what you need).
I put in the points along the edge of what I am copying. I can edit points, move, delete, etc until I have it exactly. Then, I "save shape in personal art kit." You may name it what you want and place in the file of your choice. (I created 1 for all my custom shapes). You can then cancel the custom shape. Next, I add a photo spot and go to "Format Photos>Select Mat. Mat Fill should be "transparent" and in "Cutout", you select the shape that you just created. Quote:
