Thank you for the .page!

I see the messages about the converting. I have a group where we discuss problematic areas and how to best do them when we convert. And I have made some videos teaching how to do some of them. I'm happy to add anyone who wants to the group, and share the videos.

And we go to Disney World in just under one month, glad to have another template to use!!!! Thank you so much!

Interesting - I convert shapes completely differently. In essence, I got to insert>Shape>Custom shape (either straight or curved lines depending on what you need).
I put in the points along the edge of what I am copying. I can edit points, move, delete, etc until I have it exactly. Then, I "save shape in personal art kit." You may name it what you want and place in the file of your choice. (I created 1 for all my custom shapes). You can then cancel the custom shape.
Next, I add a photo spot and go to "Format Photos>Select Mat. Mat Fill should be "transparent" and in "Cutout", you select the shape that you just created.

I'm about to go to bed right now, but if you have Panstoria, here is the link to their rather limited online tutorial. You get to the shapes editor by being in a Personal Art Kit that you get to from the Content tab/section. (Sorry if I'm not too clear, but I've been up since 4:00 am and I'm needing to get to bed!).

I just finished converting the photo spots to live frames for my template. I had to clean up a lot of the photo spots since there were stray pixels and lines that needed to be removed, so I'll be happy to send the completed page to someone for them to add to a sharing service (sorry, I don't have one).

What you'll want to do when you get into the editor is right click and insert a background image to work from. I have created an art kit called Created Shapes. Make sure to flatten each photo spot before saving into the art kit. Right click on the flattened shape and choose save to personal art kit, choosing your file. It will save the image as an element.

From here its a bit strange. I right click on the element, choose "convert to fragment", then immediately right click and "convert to element." For some reason this is the only way the element will show up as a background shape.

In the editor, right click and select "load background image". Choose the shape from the file you want to convert. It will then be in the background of the editor, which will make it easier to copy. Please note that it will be out of aspect ratio, but that's okay.

From the editing bar I choose rectangle (unless it's a circle). I move the points to any corners, adding or subtracting points as needed. What's nice is that you can't move the point beyond the box, so it's easy to stick it in the corners or edges. You can edit curved edges by right clicking on a line and choose "make curved", then go to the points and select "make corner". This will allow you to move the dotted red line (up and down and in and out) to move the line to make the desired shape.

Once everything is the way you like, choose OK and it will save in the Shapes section of the kit. The nice thing is that you can go back and edit the shape any time.

Please post any questions and I'll get to it tomorrow.
