Guess who is going to WDW??? THIS GIRL!!

My husband and I decided it's time for another trip to WDW!! We are going over the kid's spring break (eventhough due to Hurricane Sandy make-up they may miss some school days now) from March 27-APril 5.

My daughter is 8, my sons are 2 and 5 and we're looking for some character experiences we should do. I've never done any character dinners or anything like that so I don't know where to start to plan any of these things. We are staying off-site in a house in Kissimee, we have our flight figured out, so we need to buy a 5 day MYW ticket to the parks.

ANY recommendations would be great! I haven't been to WDW since 2006 and I know a lot has changed and now with 3 kids instead of 1 we have a lot to consider!! SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!

If you are breakfast people, I suggest Ohana's. We just LOVE that place for breakfast character dining.

Since you are staying off property, you can save money by buying your tickets through undercover tourist. If you sign up for MouseSavers newsletter, they send an additional discount amount through their link to Undercover Tourist.

As far as Character meals, I would say Chef Mickey (Goofy, Donald, Mickey, and others I think), or even Crystal Palace for Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet etc.

If your daughter is into princesses, Cinderella's Castle is always a good one, but expensive! you have to reserve a spot and prepay. You could try 1900 Park Fare as a slightly inexpensive alternative (that's what we did).

Allears.net has great info, as does MouseSavers.com. Also, easywdw has fun info and a good crowd calendar. Touring plans has a crowd calendar (you have to buy a membership to see a full year in advance, but it's well worth it!) They have a great app, that you can add your own touring plan or their's to it, and when you are in the park, just mark it off as done! Super easy and quick (I had a small notebook I carried around, but usually the app was so much simplier and easier to get out of my bag real quick).

http://www.undercovertourist.com/lan..._campaign=uct3 (undercover tourist also has an app. It's another great one! It has menus listed for the different restaurants, and it lists wait times).

You also might want to register here: http://www.disboards.com/index.php YOu can find tons of info and helpful hints there as well!

Most importantly, have fun! This will be an amazing trip for you!

Congrats on your upcoming trip! I'm no help on dining as we rarely do anything other than quick service. We have eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table and 1900 Park Faire. They were both good experiences, but expensive.

I'll be watching this thread too for ideas. We do mostly day trips... so we don't take a lot of time for sit down meals.

I know you are going to have an awesome time!

Character cheat sheet!!

Thanks so much for the info, Dawn! I will definitely check out all of those sites!! I had tons of stuff book marked on my old computer and lots of lists started; but I have misplaced them over the last year since I didn't think we were going to go anytime soon. You only live once, so we as well enjoy ourselves, right?? We we actually be leaving on my daughter's 9th birthday and it is both my son's first times--aren't there special buttons or pins or something they can get in the park??

I did find one site that I use to frequent that has a character cheat sheet!! Lots helpful things on the blog too!
