How to Post to a Mousescrapper Challenge

Note to Moderators: I had new to Mousescrappers people have questions about posting and this is what I shared with them. We have so many new people finding us and participating in their first challenges that I thought I would share here. Please let me know if this is okay to post and/or move it where it would be appropriate.

Monica

Posting to a Mousescrapper challenge:

Every challenge on Mousescrappers requires that you:
a. Post to the proper challenge gallery
b. Post your layout in the proper forum thread(see those listed on the forum page)
c. Post your layout AND the link to the forum in the challenge thread

I have a little system that may help. I use a PC-based laptop with Windows Internet Explorer (just in case you use a mac or a different browser-directions might be a little different for the right click or how to have multiple tabs open):

After logging into Mousescrappers to post for a challenge there is the link bar at the top (Shop, Forums, Challenges, etc):

1.Find the forum that matches the picture and click add post - right now it will be open but blank. (i.e, a picture of Cinderella’s Castle in WDW would go here: http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...lay.php?f=9679). If you aren’t sure where to post Carol has some guidelines here: http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...php?f=9626&a=5

2. Right click the challenge link (at top of page) and open to a new tab.

3. Click on the newly created Challenge tab that opened and find the challenge you're posting to and click add post - again there will be another open but blank post

4 Right click and open the Gallery link at top of page to a new tab.

5. Click on the newly created Gallery tab and upload the photo to appropriate challenge gallery. For How-to-Upload to the Gallery see this post: http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...28&postcount=1. Then copy the linked image url.

6. Click the challenge tab and paste the picture link into the post- but do not close

7. Click the forum tab and paste the picture link in your open post and save it BUT do not close the tab. Copy the url link for the forum post first. Now you can close the forum tab only.

8. Click the challenge tab again and paste the url for the forum post. Add any thanks, comments, etc and post it. Close this tab.

9. If you have time, go through the open gallery tab and leave a little love.

Voila- it is now in the gallery, the challenge thread, and the forum thread with links in all the right spots. Once I started doing it this way, I have never forgotten to link everything in the challenge posts.
