Thanks for posting these sites - I hadn't seen the travelingnuts one. I love the look of pages with this sort of clip art on it, but I have a teesny reservation about using it - the potential resizing issue. Has any one has a page printed with clip art on it? Did it look alright with resized clip art?

Has anyone had any problem with licensing issues using clipart? I know it is copyrighted but I want to use some on my Dec 2010 book but don't want to get in trouble if I post those pages on my blog.

providing that they are for your personal use and you aren't selling the pages (as a scrap for hire or as a kit/quickpage) it's fine. Well at least pretty much all of us do it, and the Disney Lawyers haven't come knocking
The key is... don't try to SELL anything you make with a copyrighted image. If you give it away for free, or use it for personal reasons... you should be good 2 go! |
