Telephone Challenge 8a! Please join the fun-this time let's scraplift the COLORS too!

Hello Mousescrappers! I am lifting the rules right from missi_me (Melissa) but I am adding a twist just for fun - Please scraplift the previous player's layout as usual but lift the COLOR SCHEME as well.

THE RULES:

1) I will create a layout then pass it to the next person on the list. Their job is to scraplift my layout.

2) Please try to finish your layout within 24 hours of receiving it from the previous poster. If you think it will take you a little longer than 24 hours, just PM me.

3) When you are done with your layout, "pass it" on to the next person. Be sure to send me a copy so that I can put them all together at the end.

Please be sure your layout is 180 kb or less (600x600 is the optimum size).

4) Please post in this thread (just a message - not layout) when you have passed it on to the next person.

5) PLEASE DO NOT post your layout in the Gallery or any thread until the challlenge is complete.

6) At the end all of the layouts will be posted in the Gallery to show how it has changed with each person. Please add credits and post to the appropriate thread in the forum after the "reveal" is done.

iv been temted to join a telephone challenge for a while, but i dont really understand the term 'scrap lift'.
iv looked at previous telephone challenge entries and i cant quite follow the link from 1 page to the next.
i might just be being a bit thick but could someone please help!!

Hello

I pulled this definition off of scrapjazz:
"Scraplifting (skrap-lift-ing) – The act of copying ideas and designs from another person’s scrapbook page to use in your own pages. Designs or ideas can be copied in whole or in part and is largely subjective."

You can scraplift the entire layout by copying the layout including all the elements from the kits used but with your own pictures or you can scraplift just what you like including but not limited to:

# of pictures
the way the pictures are laid out
the colors in the the layout
the way the papers are layered
one element that you love
the theme of the layout
inspiriation drawn from the layout


and there are many ways to scraplift, that is what makes it fun! Everyone scraplifts differently. Some of my favorite layouts that I have made have been drawn from inspiriation from someone else's layout. I hope you join in!
