Good morning, or afternoon if you're east of me! You're in the right place if you're ready for another speed scrap. We'll get started in just a few minutes.

And when you're finished with your layout, be sure to post it in the Speed Scrap #13 gallery.

There will be 7 instructions in total.
The first will be posted on the hour.
The second at ten past.
Third at twenty past.
Fourth at half past.
Fifth at twenty to.
Sixth at ten to.
The final instruction on the close of the hour.
Then you will have 4 hours to finish your layout and post to the gallery, here and relevant thread to claim your prize.
If you join late don’t worry that you missed the start you can still play just follow the rules for your layout and get it uploaded before the deadline.

I’m so excited to be hosting my first ever speed scrap. And even better, it’s here at MouseScrappers. Something else I’m excited about is seeing Disney’s World of Color at California Adventure next January. I’ve seen some preview clips of it on the Disney website as well as the premiere on YouTube. It looks absolutely fantastic so I’m sure it’s even better in person. It was this show that inspired me to make the participation prize, wondearful world of color alpha and papers. So get ready for a colorful Speed Scrap...

Directions:

1. World of Color “is a show unlike any other, and it represents the finest of what makes Disney, Disney.” Choose a single photo that represents the finest of whatever it is you plan to scrap today.

2. World of Color uses 1200 fountains laid out on a grid. They can shoot water up to 200 ft in the air and each fountain is equipped with its own LED light source, creating this spectacular show. To represent the fountain grid, let’s see some blocking on your layout. You can use a template or make your own – your choice.

3. Just as World of Color is a rainbow symphony of the “best Disney music, animation and stunning water effects”, I want to see lots of color on your layout. Choose papers and elements full of bold, beautiful colors.


4. The amphitheater built for World of Color allows 4000-6000 park guests to view the show. That’s a lot of people clustered together in one area! Add a cluster along one edge of the photo, include a scatter and some string or ribbon to it.


5. World of Color is a water-and-fire show that continues Disney’s long tradition of true spectacle innovation. I want to see something from nature – water, fire, flowers, leaves, animals, etc. (But Mickey and friends do not count.)


6. The title of the show – World of Color – dates back to September 1961 when “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” premiered on NBC. Date your layout and add a title on or overlapping your photo in some way.

7. World of Color “is the quintessential Disney celebration-one that builds on Walt’s legacy of using creativity, technology and innovation to bring our most beloved characters and stories to life in a whole new way.” Tell your story; add at least 3 sentences of journaling.

When you're finished, upload to Speed Scrap #13 in the gallery, post here and in the corresponding thread. And don't forget to leave some love for your fellow speed scrappers.
