Disney World Price Increase - starting 6/3/12
We figured it was coming:
http://land.allears.net/blogs/dnews/...t_price_1.html I am a bit surprised that they are charging the same amount for the child pass as they are for the FL adult seasonal and annual pass. My kids are very short for their age, and I thought it ridiculous to pay for an adult ticket when they couldn't even ride half the rides. Now a three year old is expected to be the same price as an adult? Crazy!

Thanks for posting. I just saw the headline on FB but haven't looked at the details yet.

So glad we purchased annual passes when we were there in March. It is crazy that they're charging the same for adult & child annual passes though. But then I think that they consider 10 year olds adults is crazy.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday too! Totally makes me sad, as I had hoped to purchase them in July. Oh well. Just means we have to save up more, cut back a little somewhere, and make do! We'll still have fun no matter what....it's Disney!

Bummer. Everything seems to be increasing except my paycheck... lol...
The girls just now are tall enough for most of the rides. I agree it seems crazy to charge them an adult price when they can't ride everything and honestly usually tucker out before the parade and fireworks. Oh well.. I guess we are at their mercy.

I do believe that Disney is pricing themselves out of our budget. We just may go to Europe our next big trip, instead. Might even cost less!

Wouldn't that be the cats meow for Europe to be less expensive! I'd love to go... can I hide in your luggage?

I can't believe the ridiculousness going on between Universal and Disney this week. This having to compete to be the highest park thing is dumb. I don't understand how being the highest priced park is a good thing in today's economy.

I was just coming here to post that after Disney raised their price, Universal raised THEIR price to be $89. Why would you do that? Wouldn't you compete to be the lowest price instead? The price of Universal is more annoying since no WAY is it comparable to a Disney park (save WWoHP, which is just one part of one park.)

Think Disney is going to respond to Universal with another price hike? To me, raising prices like they are placing bets in a poker match would be one of the dumbest moves they could do, but I am already questioning their motivation behind getting rid of FL resident child tickets. I wonder if/when Sea World/Busch Gardens will jump in and play the game, too.
