Get ready.... All things Disney Starts on Monday - May 9th

I wanted to go ahead and let you know the details of this game so you could start thinking..... We played this game at the last marathon. This is a Photo Share game that will run from 05-09 to 05-22. You must participate at least twice to get credit for the game, BUT.... the more times you play... the better your chances are to win the participation prizes.

Everyone should be able to participate in this fun game as you are allowed to use internet photos to play. However, please note if the photos aren't your own.

The thought behind this challenge is - "A-Z ALL THINGS DISNEY" and I mean ALL. Here are the guidelines:

1) This will be a perpetual challenge. Once we get to Z, start back at A.

2) Only one thing per letter per round with a corresponding photo. You can do more than one photo for that thing, but you can't add new items on that turn. For example, A is for Aladdin. You will need to post a photo of Aladdin. You might have multiple ones. You can post as many Aladdin photos as you wish, but can't post a new "A" on that turn. Only one item per round.

3) There must be at least one post between your last entry. So you can't post L and then turn around and do a post for M. You must wait for someone else to post.

4) I am hoping we will get many rounds of A-Z. After about 4 or 5 rounds, some of the letters (U, V, Q & Z) might get tricky. Try to be creative. If you must skip them... ok... just announce it.

5) Once an item is used during the challenge, it can NOT be used again in any subsequent rounds. Once Aladdin is used... done.... you need to think of another A word.

6) Start your post with "(letter) is for ______" and then post your photo(s) - For example "M is for Monorail".... - "A is for Aladdin"

7) Remember ALL Things Disney. Don't limit yourself to just the characters. Think bigger... Rides, parks, movies, restaurants, hotels, actors.... etc...

8) If the photo is not your own, please give credit for the photography.

I recommend that you consider putting your photos in a photobucket account. (Or something similar). It makes it easier to post in the thread.

I will be starting the game on Monday morning with an "A". Be watching! I will also let you know about the prizes for this one!

Melinda I can't wait to play...Only one question, everytime I post from photbucket, my photos are huge...Is there a way to make them smaller to post to the thread???

uumm...I thought it was Alpha per user, for example If you choose Aladdin and I can choose Aladdin too since your layout and pics will be different from mine.

Or do I have to choose Ariel?

I understand is one character, ride etc (Letter) per layout per user but it does not mean that if someone did their layout first and chose Aladdin then nobody else can choose him.

Otherwise with so many user by restricting it that way it will make it very hard

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am not overly familiar with Photobucket...so I might be doing this the hard way... lol... Before I put the photos into PB, I resize them using the Paint program on my computer. My camera takes huge images, so I shrink them to about 50% in Paint. I save that resized images and then move them over to Photobucket.

Hope that helps. Again... I am no PB pro. I am self taught.... and probably making it harder than it has to be...

Hm... lets see if I can answer your question. This game is actually very simple. It is photos not LO's. You just need to follow the alphabet and post a photo that begins with whatever letter is up next. However, once that item is used, it can't be re-used. You need to come up with something else that starts with that letter. Since the game is perpetual, we might have 20 rounds of A-Z. If I start the game and post, A is for Alice... that means Alice has been used and can't be done again. When the A's come back again, whomever posts will need to come up with another "A" Disney related thing. Perhaps Aladin... then the next time the A's come around... someone might post a photo of Animal Kingdom. Then animated... then All Stars Movies... and so forth...
