Need help posting my layouts....

Hi everybody!! I want to finally set aside time to post my layouts of my first ever digiscrap album, BUT my files are too big and I am not sure the best/easiest way to resize them?? I am using photoshop elements. I greatly appreciate any help you can give me!!!

This is how I do it using Photoshop Elements 10

#1 File Save as name the file and add Web at the end
(this is going to make it that you save the original big file and this new one
will be the web/sized one)

#2 Go to Image/Resize (a box will come up)
on the square that reads "Pixel Dimentions" go to were it has "Height & Width"
type 600 X 600 another box will come up showing you the file size
you want it around 270 (or play with the ruler to archive smaller size)
select "OK"

#3 Then Go to File - Save As - under format choose JPG

#4 Your JPG will be ready for upload

Open up your psd file. Then click "File" then "Save for web". Make sure it is set to .jpg, then change the dimensions to 600x600px (be sure to click 'apply')... Try to get the file size to about 180kb by adjusting the quality (you can see the file size at the bottom of the screen under the right panel). Then just click submit/ok

Oh my goodness, I am still pretty new this world of digital scrapbooking...though I have been scrapbooking the traditional way for many years. I have been trying to participate in the template challenges but my layouts were always rejected because the file size was too big! This thread was SO helpful!
