LOL I have also been inspire by all the globes. I have made my own using GIMP as I dont use Photoshop. It took me about 45 mins but I am pleased with the outcome. I will post my LO when finished.

I tried playing with another globe. They're addicting. For my China globe I used a lot of different pix and a 7x7 grid. For this one I used the same photo for all the squares and used a 4x4 grid.

If anyone has created a globe, I started a thread here to post them.

But it's a major fail when I do the cookie cutter: I'm very new to digiscrapping and this is my 3rd day with PSE. (PSE8) What have I missed? |

Picture grid on globe
I can't help you with the cookie cutter problem as I got the same thing you did. Hopefully someone will answer as to what we are missing.

I don't have PSE ... but based on my own program.... when I do a 'cookie cutter type' cut I can either erase OR copy the shape. Maybe you can copy it instead??? It almost looks like you are using a donut shape...instead of a circle. Is there another shape???
If you can copy the inside shape, then you can get rid of the original with the edges. That's my suggestions.... at least until one of the PSE girls chimes in!! |

I just think you are not done yet, Now you will need clip out or select your Globe/Sphere and put it in another layer or background and then you are done. No Squares behind! Just an idea…
