Journalling-
Typhoon Lagoon would be closed for refurbishment from the 27th of October, so this was the only chance we’d have to ride the tidal waves and slip down the slides. Despite it being cold and cloudy when we were eating, by the time we left and walked the short 15 minute walk to Typhoon Lagoon the clouds were no where to be seen and the weather was already picking up! Which was good news since Mam would NOT have been happy if the weather stayed the way it was - she prefers to bask like a lizard! Memories came flooding back the second we caught sight of the entrance! We touched in with our Magic Bands with no trouble at all and headed down the walk way. We stopped to get our photo with the park mascot on the way and to hunt for any Hidden Mickeys in the scene.
We stopped for a short while at the vantage point to just take in the scenery and see the waves from a distance. It was only a short while before we heard the all-too-familiar horn followed by the ‘Woosh’! With that we headed for the lockers! It’s one thing to watch, but we were raring to go! We headed down to the lockers, got changed, fueled up on ice water and headed towards the wave pool!
