Prep for Speed Scrap:
1. Print out CynthiaY2's Checklists and fill in the Name, # and time start and end (4 hours from start)
2. Pick out photos for 15 pages, making sure I have pages for 1, 2, 3, etc on a page as that is usually one of the instructions (number of photos).
3. Because I have already picked out my photos, they will probably have a theme, so I pick a kit with that theme so I'm ready to start.
4. Have water and a snack at my desk so I don't have to stop.
5. Have fun!!!

To prepare, I have all of the pages I need to finish for our Disney Trip album with the # of photos. I have kits for them as well. Last night, I printed out the spreadsheet and highlighted and numbered and labeled and.... Now it's just seeing how I can keep a hubby and 3 yo busy... And I have my kleenex (yup, I'm sick) and Cherry coke next to me.:yeah:http://mousescrappers.com/forums/images/smilies/yay.gif

Does prepping count if all I did was find my chargers for my cameras (from last weeks trips) and pick up pizza for my daughter for dinner? hahahahah

cuz that's all I've done. Well, I have also cleared off my scrapping area so I have room for the cameras (haven't removed the pics from them yet from last week)

Prep Hmmm I've found the cord to my EHD to have access to my kits
Separated my photos into different folders to make it fast to find one to use
Have dinner ready for kids to eat and bathed my toddler so she can run around the house while I scrap LOL

I have all my photos sorted day by day and my Disney kit previews are in a separate folder, and most important I have informed DH that he is a scrapbook widow this weekend

RMSTigger 03-20-2015 02:42 PM

I think I'm as sorted as I'm going to get! My strategy is to be organized and if all else fails (which is most of the time) wing it!

AARRRGGGHH!
My computer is 'not responding' so I can't get anything done!!!!
I SO needed this and was ready to roll. Restarting didn't help, either.
UGH!:ack:

SS Prep

I prepped by reading all the threads, going through my unscrapped photos of our Jan trip, printing Cynthia's awesome spreadsheet and checklist, installing Java, logging into the chat room, saving a spot in the master thread and trying not to be too nervous as this is my first SS.

:scrapbooking:

my prep was to set up chat, attempted to get a layout done to try posting- didn't get there. printed out cynthia's sheets and unzipped all my photopass photos from jan trip
hopefully i can actually get something finished

I prepped by placing all my Disney pictures on a separate drive just for being able to quickly glance the pictures over. I put all my Disney scrapbooking kits in the same area.

Just now seeing this -
I organized photos like crazy - for 2 weeks, crazy

mistical725 03-20-2015 04:26 PM

Oh, I just read this too! I prepared by setting aside all the pictures I know for sure I want to scrap and hoping they fit somehow into the requirements of the SSs :D

ladyleopard1106 03-20-2015 04:41 PM

I prepped by cleaning out my downloads...started off by organizing my templates by designer and how many pics each one holds, then burned them to CD's. Organized all my kits by designer and burned them to CD's....went through and pulled out pics I want to use and put them into folders.

I prepped by having my hubby make dinner, organizing which pictures I wanted to use and Clearing off my desk. Thanks so much!

AmyR0618 03-22-2015 06:29 AM

Yikes - I never thought of "prepping"....:no::no:

So much to learn....lol...

No wonder why I can only participate in a few speed scraps per day!!!!

I "prepped" by warning my husband he had to take care of the kids for the weekend!!! lol
