Weekly Challenge #10 (11/18-11/24)

Guess what?! Today is Mickey Mouse's Birthday!!! He's a whopping 81 years old. But cute ol' Mick doesn't look a day over 75. :lol2:

http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...y_birthday.jpg

So - to celebrate Mickey's Birthday I have an EXTRA special challenge for us this week!!

Of course, first things first, your LO needs to be Disney related. And you must post your LO in this thread, including credits or a link to credits, by midnight (MST) on Tuesday night (11/24).

AND don't forget to post your LO in the corresponding venue thread here at MouseScrappers. That's a requirement for all MouseScrappers challenges! For example: if your LO is about riding the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, you'd post your LO in the Disneyland subs thread. Make sense?

And now for the actual CHALLENGE . . .

Many photos. Three or more!
One and only one solid paper. (use it for your background or an accent paper, whatever you want)
Under the photos, layer some string or ribbons.
Staples. Use exactly two staples on your page. No more, no less.
Eight buttons! Yes, we're going button-crazy. And you can only repeat the same button 4 times.

Blocks of paper. Includes at least 2 blocks of paper.
Date. Take extra time to date your page in a special way.
Alpha. Use an alpha for your title.
Yellow. Include at least 1 yellow paper or element.

I know, I know! It's a LOT of steps!! But its supposed to be a CHALLENGE right? And if you can make it through all the steps, you will be well rewarded. Everyone who completes the challenge will get this fun Disney inspired Christmas mini-kit!!

http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...keychr_LRG.jpg

Yes, everyone who completes ALL the steps, including posting requirements, will get this mini-kit! And this is the only way you'll be able to get it! :woohoo:

Here's my entry!

Have fun! Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

xoxo

Post in Magic Kingdom

I have 20 days until my trip! I had to use an old picture but it will be well worth it for that kit!

So I am posting in the sub forum for Magic Kingdom.

ldsmomld 11-19-2009 08:08 AM

A newbie

I'm really new to digital scrapbooking. I'm "playing" and trying to get the hang of the digi stuff while still doing paper pages. :-)

I'd love to try a challenge but I'm wondering if they have to be totally digital, hybrid, or can they be paper layouts?

Thanks in advance,
Jamie

stenogoddess 11-19-2009 08:20 AM

I'm so bummed! I updated my computer to Windows 7, and now my PSE 5 won't work anymore and I don't have the cash to replace it right now with the holidays coming up. Britt, that kit is SO CUTE! Good job! I'm sorry I'm missing it, but I'm loving the LO.

scrappin5kids 11-19-2009 08:58 AM

Oh my gosh...this is so perfect!!! We are going to Disneyland in 2 weeks, so I HAVE to have this kit...now to find photos...

:welcome: Jamie!

They don't have to be digital. I'd love to see a paper (or hybrid) layout entry!

http://www.scrapmatters.com/gallery3...ons_062009.jpg

I think I did everything as asked :) I didn't consider the glitter paper to be solid paper...my black paper is my solid. Hope that's ok. Thanks for a fun challenge!

Yettiebug 11-19-2009 09:36 AM

What do you do if you only know who designed the template you are using? I'd like to join the challange but I don't know who designed the other ones.
