This was a VERY big moment in my Disneyland-fanatasism. This was the summer that the new subs opened. They'd only been running for a couple weeks when I got to ride 'em!! SO EXCITNG. So this big moment needed a BIG 2-pager. Here's what the full thing looks like.

Journaling Says: It was the summer that the subs came back to Disneyland! There were billboards all over LA advertising their triumphant return, and this time they were finding Nemo! We were all so excited to ride the subs on our day at Disneyland, but we knew it would be a REALLY long line. And boy were we right! All day the line was never under 2 hours, even at rope drop! But after the fireworks, we RAN over to find only 90 minute wait, so we went for it! Baby Eden was fast asleep the whole time, but all the adults sure had fun. We were so tired we were giddy and laughed and talked the whole wait, which turned out to be only like 70 minutes or so. It was a THRILL to ride the BRAND NEW subs! A very big moment in Disneyland history! How fun!

Journaling reads: I had to bring Mom over to see the Nemo ride. Since she couldn't navigate the stairs, we went to the "navigation" room, where a large screen played a video of what those on the subs see, which allowed us to experience the ride without being on the submarine itself. Personally, I thought that it was just as nice as being on the ride. And Mom loved it!

Journaling: It's not very often that you get to see a new ride being constructed at Disneyland. We hopped on over to ride the monorail, and we were able to peek through the fencing to see them working on the new Nemo Submarine ride. It was too bad that we couldn't ride it that day, but what fun it would be for a future visit!

Wow - that's awesome QuiltyMom!

I think I stole Britt's title with out even realizing it. I'm sure I saw your page on your blog when your kit came out. I guess it stuck in the back of my head.
